Sukrutham Palliative Care & Elderly Care Initiative in Keralam

Sukrutham is a community-driven initiative dedicated to providing palliative care and elderly care across Kerala. The program focuses on supporting bedridden patients, chronically ill individuals, and senior citizens who require continuous care and assistance at home.
With a growing network of over 135 palliative care centers across Kerala, Sukrutham currently supports around 25,000 bedridden patients through home-based care, volunteer support, and community participation. The initiative works to ensure that no elderly or terminally ill patient is left without care, dignity, and compassion.
Community-Based Palliative Care in Kerala
Sukrutham follows a community palliative care model, where trained volunteers and nurses regularly visit patients at their homes. The centers provide:

Vision: 500 Palliative Care Centers by 2026
Sukrutham is expanding its reach with a clear mission: To establish 500 palliative care and elderly care centers across Kerala by the end of 2026.This expansion will significantly increase access to home-based palliative care services and support thousands more patients and families throughout the state.
