wwayanad : On 7 July 2026, a major landslide occurred on the Meppadi–Chooralmala Road, near the entrance to the Kalladi Tunnel. The incident completely blocked traffic on the route, and preliminary reports indicate that several vehicles and workers were affected.
Upon receiving the information, Seva Bharathi volunteers immediately rushed to the site and actively engaged in coordinating rescue efforts and providing emergency assistance to those affected. Working in close coordination with the concerned government departments and rescue agencies, the volunteers are extending all possible support to ensure the rescue operations are carried out swiftly and effectively.
