
TThrissur: Seva Bharathi is a name that can never be left out of the cultural landscape of Thrissur Pooram. For the past 22 years, Seva Bharathi has been organizing medical aid posts, drinking water distribution centers, ambulance services and free food distribution for the Pooram lovers. On the Pooram day (26/04/2026, Sunday), medicinal drinking water was distributed at 10 centers in the city, food was distributed at 2 centers, medical aid posts, information centers and 12 ambulance services were organized at 3 centers. A total of 1000 volunteers were deployed, including 500 volunteers specially trained in disaster management in emergencies. The day after the Pooram (27/04/2026, Monday), medicinal drinking water distribution, medical aid posts and ambulance services were provided at 2 centers. The Annadhanam was inaugurated by Maha Mandaleshwar Swami Anandavanam Bharathi and the ambulance services were operated by former DGP Jacob Thomas. The service activities were led by Seva Bharathi State Organization Secretary K.V. Rajeev, State Secretary K. Suresh Kumar, Seva Bharathi District President P. N. Unnirajan, Thrissur Pooram Working Chairman Adv. K. S. Siddharth, Treasurer K. Geetha, Seva Bharathi Vice President Dr. Rishin Suman and many other activists.
