SSabarigirisha Sewanilayam near Kottayam Medical College was inaugurated last January and is functioning. Although the Sewanilayam was started with the intention of providing free accommodation/food/ambulance services to around 30 poor and destitute patients and dependents of Kottayam Medical College, although we have not yet been able to provide these services on a full scale, we have been able to provide free accommodation to more than a hundred patients.
On Sunday 17/11/24 at 11.30am, the inauguration of the Sevanilayam, including Annadanam, was inaugurated by Municipal Chairperson Mrs. Binsi Sebastian, Senior Caretaker Mr. Etumanoor Radhakrishnan and Mr. N. Rajagopal, Chairman of the Construction Committee. In the meeting presided over by Sevabharati Kottayam Municipality Committee Chairman Mr. Ravikumar, Sevabharati State Secretary Dr. Krishnan Namboothiri gave an introductory speech, and Dakshina Kerala District Vice-Chancellor Mr. KB Sreekumar also gave a service message. The construction of the Sewanilayam was completed with CSR funds provided by Cochin Shipyard and funds provided by other well-wishers.
