Seva Bharati's 'Bhudanam Shresthadanam' project got off to a flying start by giving 47 landless families their own land. Union Minister of State George Kuryan inaugurated the project at the state level in Kottayam. 2.8 acres of land donated to Seva Bharati was distributed to the deserving in the first phase. Highlighting the importance of the project, the Union Minister praised the work of Seva Bharati for providing land to the deserving people of the society. Recalling the activities of Seva Bharati during the Great Flood and Covid, he emphasized the need to provide land to the landless. He also called upon those who have land to donate the excess.
RSS veterans say that the spirit of service comes naturally from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Seva Bharati is its embodiment. Campaigner S. Setumadhavan said. He was giving a service message at the function. Quoting a story from Swami Vivekananda's youth, he said, "Man's duty is not to help, but to serve the society. The prayer of India is that the whole world should be well and healthy. Our principle is that the world is a family. The thought and action of RSS is not what we get, but what we can give to the society. " he added. RSS means service work. Sethumadhavan also emphasized that it is an attitude that is formed within the workers themselves.
The meeting was presided over by Seva Bharati State President Dr. Ranjith Vijay Hari, who said in his presidential address that Bhoodanam Shresthadanam is a continuation project and it will become a community undertaking.
