KKasaragod: The annual general meeting of the Deseeya Sevabharathi Kasaragod district was inaugurated at the Kanhangad Vyapara Bhavan Auditorium at 10 am, presided over by Sevabharathi District President M.T. Dinesh, and inaugurated by prominent doctor Raghavendra Prasad of Kanhangad Sunrise Hospital. He said that Sevabharathi is carrying out unparalleled service activities and called for giving importance to waste management and cleaning, which have become a major threat to humanity. District General Secretary Sangeetha Vijayan presented the minutes and activity report in the meeting. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Uttara Kerala Pranth Seva Pramukh M.C. Valsan gave a service message. Then, the 34-member committee comprising district office bearers for the year 2025-26 (M.T. Dinesh (President), A.K. Sangeetha Vijayan (General Secretary) and Sheeja Muralidharan (Treasurer)) was announced by the National Swayamsevak Sangh Kannur vibag Karyawah Lokesh Jodkal. State Secretary K. Suresh Kumar spoke at the meeting.

In the year 2025-26, Sevabharathi will make Ashraya Kendras operational in every Panchayat and Municipality in Kasaragod district to provide assistance to those suffering from sorrows and hardships in the society. In the annual general meeting held at 41 units in the district, many activities such as Sukritam Palliative, Bala Samskara Kendra, Kishori Vikasam, Tuition Center, Vaibhavashree, Santvana Sparsham will be provided through the Ashraya Kendra. At the closing meeting, Sevabharathi State Treasurer P. Raji Mol gave the closing message. District Secretary Preetha Unni welcomed the meeting and Vice President T.V. Ashok Kuman expressed his vote of thanks.
