TThe Kottiyoor temple, which is a visible centre of samajika samarasatha, where 62 communities have the same place and ceremonies, has started annadana centres for the pilgrims coming for the festival....

Sevabharathi has started annadana rest centres at 4 centres for the pilgrims coming for the Kottiyoor Vaisakha Mahotsava. Popularly known as Dakshina Kasi, this famous temple-less temple in Kannur district attracts a large number of devotees from various districts of Kerala, karnataka and tamil nadu during the 28-day long festival season. The main problem for such pilgrims was the overcharged and unhygienic hotels. A solution to this is the annadhana kendras of Sevabharathi. Sevabharathi has been conducting annadanam for the past 14 years near a temple in Kottiyoor.

The meeting was presided over by Peravoor Khand Sanghchalak K Sreedharan at Kottiyoor and was inaugurated by V Sasidharan, a prantiya karyakari sadasyan of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Rss district karyavah K Sreejesh inaugurated the function at a meeting chaired by Jijo Prakash at Kannavam 17th Peacock. Sevabharathi district secretary N T Manoj delivered the seva message. At a meeting chaired by Justice Jyotintranath, chairman of the annadanam reception committee, which started at Thokkilangadi in Koothuparamba, Mata Amritananthamayi Kannur Mad Chief Swami Amritakrupanandapuri inaugurated the programme and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Kannur Vibhag Saha Sanghachalak NCT Rajagopal delivered the seva message. Later, P S Mohanan Kottiyoor delivered the lecture. Adv. K.K. Balaram, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh North Kerala Pranth Sanghachalak inaugurated 'KT Dileesh Seva Kendram' and 'Annadana Kendra' at a meeting chaired by U P Babu.
