KKannur: In connection with the Sabarimala pilgrimage, a stopover has been set up near the northern side of Thiruvangad Sree Ramaswamy Temple to provide Ayyappa devotees with meals a day, staying facilities and basic needs. This facility has been operating for the devotees for fourteen days. The stopover, which is being run by the Ayyappa Seva Samithi Thiruvangad, provides food to more than 1000 devotees every day. Several workers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and various temple organizations, as well as Swamis including Kolathur Advaita Ashram Madathipathy Sampoojya Chidanandapuri Swamiji, visited the stopover. On the fourteenth day, Hindu Aikya Vedi State Vice President and speaker Shashi Kammateri (Chengottu Kavu) visited the stopover.
