KKollam : Sevabharathi Pavithreswaram Samithi, in association with Kollam Jai Bharat Karate Club, organized a self-defense training camp for girls. The training was held at the Idavattom Udayankavu Shiva Temple Auditorium in Pavithreswaram, with 51 participants. The program was inaugurated by Smt. R. Ramadevi Teacher, an instructor and yoga trainer. This was followed by a message from Sevabharathi, delivered by Smt. T. Dhanalakshmi Teacher, Kollam District Secretary of National Sevabharathi. The entire responsibility of the inaugural session was handled by the women volunteers of Pavithreswaram Sevabharathi. Vice President Dr. R. B. Ashwathi presided over the event. Joint Secretary Smt. Sreeja Sudheesh delivered the welcome address, and Executive Committee Member Smt. Suja Raj proposed the vote of thanks.
Students who achieved notable accomplishments in state- and district-level school sports meets were also honored during the event.
