AAfter a quarter of a century on the path of service, Sevabharathi Kozhikode Samiti concluded the 25th anniversary celebrations.

Kozhikode District Judge Shri Rajesh was the chief guest at the event which was inaugurated by veteran actor Shri Vinod Kovoor. Shri K.V. Rajeev, State Organization Secretary, Rashtriya Seva Bharati, Smt. Anju Devi, State Committee Member, IMA District Committee Member 
Dr Venugopal, Sevabharathi Kozhikode Samiti Secretary Sri Pradeepan, President Smt. Vrinda Raghavanunni and others were present. Cultural programmes performed by the children of Sevabharathi Balika Sadanam and kalari drills were performed on the dais. Dance teacher Sri Saji Mash, who teaches dance free of cost to the children of Sevabharathi Balika Sadanam, and Kalari Asan Shri Satheesh Kumar (CVN Kalari) were felicitated on the dais.
Sevabharathi, which started functioning in 1988 by distributing kanji at the Government Medical College, Kozhikode, was registered as a trust in 1998 and expanded its activities into various committees in the district. Sevabharathi Kozhikode has come forward to support the depressed and needy in the society by donating blood, ambulance, annadanam, educational assistance, medical assistance etc.

Today, various seva activities are being carried out under the leadership of Sevabharathi Kozhikode Samiti. 
The Sevabharathi Balika Sadanam at Cheruvatta in Kozhikode district is now home to 43 children. The children in balika sadan range from UKG to those pursuing higher education in medical and engineering fields. Sevabharathi has also managed to arrange the marriage of 12 girls who grew up in balika sadan.

Gokulam Gaushala with 5 cows belonging to the indigenous breeds given to them, Sree Madhavam Vidyarthi Sadanam for adult girls, Mahalakshmi Matru Sadanam for elderly mothers and e-Seva Kendra, which provides digital services to the people, are also working for the service of the Samaj under the leadership of Sevabharathi Kozhikode Samiti.

Medical assistance to many people from different areas of the district, ambulance service, pension to many needy people, educational assistance to needy children, distribution of food kits to many desperate families, free testing by health workers under the Leadership of Health Workers under the Vayovandanam Health Care Centre scheme, distribution of free medicines to those above 60 years of age, and other permanent service activities such as blood donation and annadanam are being provided at the Samajam.

Apart from this, sevabharathi kozhikode unit is also conducting food product manufacturing training and tailoring training programmes with the aim of making the mothers in the area self-reliant.

In this way, it is the unwavering support of  individuals that strengthens the hands of Sevabharathi, which aims to make the last person in the society self-reliant.
