Seva should be done in a spiritual manner. Don't make it a mere means of gaining fame, but consider it as your duty/dharma and take the opportunity to serve as an offering to God. Equally important is the responsibility of nature conservation. S. Sethumadhavan mentioned in the "seva sandhesham" that if every person decides to live in harmony with nature, it will be possible to reduce the impact of natural calamities.
