
MMarayoor: Arohanam 2026, an art and cultural program for children in rural learning centers organized by the Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission and the Bangalore-based Kesava Kripa Samvardhana Samiti, was held at Saraswati Vidyamandiram School, Marayoor. The rural learning centers operate two days a week with the aim of educational and cultural advancement of children in backward tribal areas. More than 550 children study in 30 centers in Idukki district.
More than 300 children from 19 centers in the Marayoor region participated in various art programs. The children who won the programs were given trophies and certificates as prizes. Apart from the children, various art programs were also organized for the teachers of rural learning centers and prizes were given to the winners of the competition. School kits were distributed to all the children who participated in the Arohanam program, and tree saplings were distributed as part of the Social Forestry Department.
The inaugural session of the art and cultural program was inaugurated by the Associate Director CSR Experion Foundation, Mr. K. Jayakrishnan. Dr. V. Narayanan, Mr. T.L. Radhakrishnan, Mr. P.R. Sasidharan, Mr. K. Girish Kumar, and Mr. C.S. Rejikumar addressed the gathering and spoke.
