
IIdukki : The second eye screening camp, jointly organised by Sevabharathi Kalloorkad Unit and Thodupuzha Fathima Eye Care Hospital, transformed the premises of Kalloorkad Saraswathi Vidya Mandir U.P. School into a vibrant community health initiative.
The programme was presided over by Unit President Shri. Manoj K.S., with Shri. Vishnu Athikkuzhi delivering the welcome address. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Swathi Prabhakar of Fathima Eye Care Hospital. Unit volunteers, including First Ward Member Shri. Sanimon V.T. and Kalloorkad Co-operative Bank Executive Committee Member Shri. Vasudevan Namboothiri, worked together to lead and coordinate the camp. Around 70 people underwent eye examinations. Those requiring assistance were provided medicines free of cost and spectacles at affordable rates. Fathima Eye Care Hospital also offered complete support for patients identified as requiring cataract or other eye surgeries, either through Ayushman Bharat insurance or at highly subsidised rates.
