WWorld Environment Day Celebration: Extensive tree plantation drive led by Seva Bharathi Udayamperoor Samiti. On the occasion of World Environment Day, Seva Bharathi Udayamperoor Samiti organized a tree plantation drive in various areas. The function held at the Ameda temple premises was led by Seva Bharathi Patron Ameda Thirumeni Sri M. S. Vasudevan Namboothiri, President Sri Vijayakumar Menon and District Joint Treasurer Adv. Subramanian M. K. The tree plantation was led by Vice President Sri Hemambika in the Perumthrikovil region and by committee members Sri Ajayaghosh, Sri Uthaman and Vice President Sri Sugunan in the Poothota region.
World Environment Day was celebrated in an exemplary manner at Agasthyavanam. On the occasion of World Environment Day, the students of Seva Bharathi's Pothod Sarathi Tuition Center in the Agasthyavan area, along with the Kottoor EDC officials, organized various environmental conservation activities. They collected and removed plastic waste found abandoned in the forest area, and cleared the forests and shrubs that had grown as obstacles on both sides of the path to make the path easier to travel. In addition, potholes that posed a danger were filled and safety was ensured.
They planted shade trees, upholding the message of environmental protection and greening. The students and officials actively participated in the program organized with the aim of instilling the responsibility of protecting nature in the society. Through such activities that combined service and conservation, the message of maintaining the natural beauty of Agasthyavan was set as an example to the society on World Environment Day by "Children of the Forest".
