KKadungalloor : Sevabharathi Kadungalloor Observes International Day of Older Persons with Care and Respect. Sevabharathi Kadungalloor Unit observed the International Day of Older Persons, reaffirming its commitment to extending care, respect and support to senior citizens. The programme was held at the Kizhakke Kadungalloor Service Cooperative Bank Hall and was formally inaugurated by Dr. B. Rajeev, State Vice President, National Sevabharathi Kerala.
The programme was presided over by Adv. M.C. Mani, Vice President, Sevabharathi Kadungalloor. Renowned motivational trainer Shri A. Narayanan Potty conducted a special motivational session for the elderly. This was followed by an awareness session on “Yoga and Lifestyle Diseases”, led by Smt. Amritha Preetham, AYUSH Department official and Yoga instructor.
Shri. R. Sivashankaran Pillai, who has been rendering selfless service as a volunteer of the Sevabharathi Sukritham Palliative Care Unit and serving as an inspiration to others, was honoured during the programme.
The event was further enriched by a variety of cultural programmes presented by the senior citizens. Around 162 elderly persons from various parts of Kadungalloor Grama Panchayat participated in the programme.
