EErnakulam : A “Free Medical Diagnosis & Treatment Guidance Camp” was jointly organized by Sevabharathi Vazhakulam Unit, Thiruvairanikulam Gauri Lakshmi Medical Centre, and AIWC (All India Women’s Conference) at Sevabasti, Mullan Kunnu Village, Ponjassery, on November 2 From 7 AM onwards, free medical tests including blood sugar and cholesterol screening were conducted under the leadership of SRL Path Labs & Scans. At 10 AM, a public meeting was held presided over by Unit President Shri K. A. Madan Mohanan. Prof. Balachandran, National Sevabharathi Ernakulam Guardian, inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. Shri Arun Kumar ES, PRO of Gauri Lakshmi Hospital, conveyed his greetings.
Following the inaugural session, Dr. Anjana (Head of Oncology, Ernakulam General Hospital) led an awareness class on the topic “Cancer Prevention and Treatment”. Doctors from Gauri Lakshmi Hospital who attended the camp included: Dr. R. Shanthakumari (General Medicine), Dr. Kiran A. M. (Orthopedics), Dr. Sheeba E. D. (Dermatology), Dr. Akshay S. Paraykkal (ENT), Dr. Latha Aravindan (Gynecology) They examined patients and provided necessary treatment guidance along with medicines collected by the unit. A total of 167 individuals registered and benefited from the services. 29 Sevabharathi volunteers and 10 hospital staff members actively contributed to the successful conduct of the camp.
