AAs part of the State Palliative Day celebrations, the second anniversary of Seva Bharathi Kadungallur Nanma Palliative Care Unit, free physiotherapy check-up camp and awareness class were held.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr G Mohanan, who has been serving in the palliative field for over two decades. Seva Bharathi District President Dr. B. Rajeev delivered the Seva Sandesha at the meeting presided over by Seva Bharathi Kadungallur President Sri S. Kaladharan Nair.
Dr. Sundaram Velayudhan, who has been providing all possible assistance for the functioning of various palliative units in Kadungallur panchayat, congratulated them.
Subsequently, doctors who have rendered commendable service in the field of palliative care, sisters and volunteers from Thanal Palliative, Nanma Palliative and Kadungallur Panchayat Palliative were felicitated. Following this, an awareness class on physiotherapy was conducted under the leadership of Dr Arun Kumar, Senior Physiotherapist, Lakshmi Hospital, Ernakulam and Sri R Sreeraj (Physiotherapist, Government Health Service) and around 40 people suffering from various physical difficulties were checked up completely free of cost and guidance was given to solve these difficulties with physiotherapy treatment.
