
DDelhi: A two-day "Disaster Response Coordinator Training Camp" was organized at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi on 26th and 27th July 2025. The inaugural session of the training camp was presided over by Shri Sanjiv Jindal (Additional Secretary, Home Department - Disaster Response) as the Chief Guest. The inaugural session was graced by J. Syed Atta Hasnain (Retd. NDMA), the keynote speaker was Shri Sudhir Kumar (All India Organisation Secretary, Rashtriya Seva Bharathi), Shri Ramesh Agarwal (President, Seva Bharathi - Delhi Province), Shri Vijay Puranik (Joint General Secretary, Rashtriya Seva Bharathi), Dr. Deep Narayan Pandey (Assistant Professor, Vishisht Disaster Centre), Shri Ram Kumar (Secretary Rashtriya Seva Bharati), Shri Vikas Nam Joshi (Executive Member) and Shri Anil Maheshwari (Treasurer) were also present. On this occasion, the annual special edition "Rashtriya Seva Sadhana - Disaster Management" was released.
The two-day training camp included the concept of disaster management, social activities, demonstration of NDRF, practical training, mental stress, fear and shock management in the disaster-affected community, precautions to be taken in dealing with crowds and riots, formation of disaster management teams and training for them. A total of 117 participants including 71 delegates from 38 provinces, 9 experts, members of the Disaster Management Central Team, Rashtriya Seva Bharati and Delhi Seva Bharati participated in this training camp.
