
TThe Annual General Meeting of Deeseya SevaBharathi, with the participation of all the elected representatives of Kerala, will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM in the presence of President Dr. Conducted at Thrissur Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Auditorium under the chairmanship of Ranjith Vijayahari. In the general meeting attended by representatives from 14 districts of Kerala, the activities of the past year will be evaluated and the office bearers for the next year will be selected and the future action plan will be presented and trainings will also be conducted for the representatives.
In connection with the landslides that occurred on July 30, 2024 in Mundakai, Chural Mala and Attamala areas of Meppadi Panchayat in Wayanad district, Seva Bharati was engaged in continuous service activities focusing on 18 sections. More than 1500 volunteers have come for service every day. Seva Bharati was able to reach out to more than 1000 disaster victims through the Seva Kendras conducted at Meppadi CSI Church and Mata Amritanandama Math.
The National Seva Bharati Kerala unit has also decided to join hands with the rehabilitation activities being carried out by the central and Kerala governments for the survivors of the disaster. The official announcement of the said projects and the action plan will be presented and approved at the annual general meeting.
Wayanad Post Disaster Rehabilitation Projects
Construction of houses will be done through the Tala-i-e-e-Atam-i-Atam project, and five acres of land will be mobilized through the Bhudanam project, and land and houses will be given to the deserving ones.
Students will be provided with continuous learning and accommodation facilities.
Efforts will be made to provide relief to the distressed through Punarjani Counseling Center for mental care and Seva Bharati's palliative systems for health problems.
Materials and facilities for finding self-employment and skill development training will be provided.
Lifelong protection will be ensured to those who have been left alone after the calamity irrespective of their age through Seva Bharati institutions.
Sevabharati's Apat Seva (Disaster Management) training will be intensified and more workers will be trained in all districts of Kerala.
