OOn the occasion of the Pongala Mahotsava at Sree Maradil Palace Bhagavathy Temple, Sevabharathi Maradu led the drinking water supply as in previous years. Watermelon juice was distributed this year. More than 2,000 people, including about 750 mothers who wore Pongala and other people who attended the ceremony, availed of this service of Sevabharathi. Its remains were fed to the cows and this service operation was carried out as zero waste.
